About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Blockchain Engineering to assume a crucial role in developing our ZK-native, privacy-focused Layer 2 infrastructure. This position involves overseeing the entire technical stack, from protocol design through to production rollout. You will collaborate closely with our cryptography and product teams to deliver a high-performance zkEVM-based ledger.

Your key responsibilities will include :

• Leading the engineering efforts for an advanced Layer 2 rollup.
• Building and scaling a performant zkEVM with robust privacy guarantees.
• Optimizing zk circuits and prover performance.
• Recruiting, mentoring, and managing a diverse engineering team.
• Driving critical decisions on sequencer design, DA layers, rollup tooling, and bridging strategies.

Applicants should have a proven track record in successfully delivering blockchain / L2 / zkEVM products from concept to scale. A minimum of 15 years engineering experience is required, with at least 4 years in leadership roles within blockchain / L2 infrastructure teams. You must possess hands-on expertise in ZK systems and a solid understanding of Ethereum, rollups, and zkEVM mechanics.

The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in programming languages such as Rust, Solidity, or zk circuit languages and demonstrate exceptional leadership and collaboration skills across functions. Experience with stablecoins, privacy-preserving assets, or programmable wallets, along with knowledge of sequencing, MEV protection, and interoperability frameworks, will be seen as beneficial. Contributions to open-source ZK tooling or rollup frameworks are considered a significant plus.
