Job description

We are recruiting a highly organized and detail-oriented Bilingual Bookkeeper to support a well-established law firm in Baton Rouge specializing in immigration and nationality services. This role is ideal for a self-motivated bookkeeping professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and is confident managing financial operations independently using QuickBooks.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Maintain and update financial records in QuickBooks
  • Process accounts payable and receivable
  • Reconcile bank accounts and ensure accuracy of all transactions
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Handle payroll processing and assist with tax filings
  • Support end-of-month closings and budget tracking
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and audit readiness
  • Organize and maintain all financial documentation

Requirements :

  • Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience (preferably in a professional office setting)
  • Proficient in QuickBooks (required)
  • Familiarity with payroll and tax filing processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Stable work history with demonstrated reliability
  • Spanish-speaking ability is a plus
  • This is an in-office role based in Baton Rouge. Candidates should be comfortable working independently and collaboratively with legal professionals.
