Electrician Position

The Town of Bridgewater is seeking applicants for the position of Electrician.

An Electrician with the Town performs skilled electrical work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures in Town facilities and infrastructure. Typical duties include troubleshooting electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, installing new wiring or equipment, ensuring compliance with safety codes, and assisting with special projects as needed.

In addition to electrical responsibilities, this position will also assist with other duties as part of the Town's maintenance team. These duties may include general facility maintenance, support for water / sewer or public works operations, and participation in special event setups and takedowns.

Applicants should have experience working with commercial and / or municipal electrical systems, the ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints, and strong problem-solving skills. The position requires the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Occasional on-call work may be required to respond to electrical or maintenance emergencies.

All applicants must hold a valid Virginia Driver's License and are subject to a criminal background check. Master Electrician licensure in Virginia is preferred, though applicants with equivalent training and experience will be considered.
