Position Location This position is hybrid, combining regular in-person presence at our Washington, DC office with the option of two days of remote work each week.
Please Note This position is included in Brookings staff bargaining unit, Brookings United, affiliated with IFPTE Local 70, and is covered under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications
Education / Experience An equivalent combination of education and experience is accepted. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in graphic design, video production, photography, and multimedia content creation. Experience working in a fast-paced environment is desirable. Knowledge of website development, social media, and video production is essential; experience in a public policy setting is strongly preferred.
Knowledge / Skill Requirements Strong understanding of visual design principles and visual storytelling, with attention to detail. Ability to conceptualize, shoot, and edit engaging video content, including motion graphics and animations. Proficiency in creating on-brand visual materials for digital and print; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and video software (Premiere Pro, After Effects). Photography skills and experience managing a photo library are required. Experience developing interactive media elements (infographics, maps) is desirable. Expertise in YouTube management and optimization is essential. Basic HTML and WordPress knowledge is helpful; strong knowledge of social media platforms and best practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organization, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Collaborative mindset with cross-team experience, discretion, poise, and mature judgment. Stay up-to-date with the latest web, design, and social media tools and trends.
