Hospice Director, RN

Position Overview : As Hospice Director, RN, you will collaborate with a dedicated hospice staff to ensure efficient and effective delivery of hospice care that aligns with our organizational philosophy and standards. You will play a pivotal role in supervising and motivating a multidisciplinary team, managing hospice caseloads, and driving continuous improvement in clinical and operational performance.

Essential Qualifications :

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program and licensed RN in the State of Minnesota with an active, good-standing license
  • Minimum two years' hospice nursing experience and at least one year of supervisory or management experience
  • CPR certification
  • Ability to travel within the geographic area served by the office; must have valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance
  • Key Responsibilities :

  • Plan, assign, and monitor work of hospice staff ensuring maximum productivity and patient-centered care
  • Hire, supervise, evaluate, motivate, and develop professional and paraprofessional employees
  • Lead recruitment, orientation, and onboarding strategies to build a strong team
  • Convene and lead Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) and other relevant facility / team meetings
  • Manage hospice caseloads as needed to meet business requirements
  • Provide ongoing educational opportunities and in-services to staff to meet quality assurance, agency policies, and regulatory standards
  • Keep staff informed of updates related to Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs
  • Contribute to business growth through community engagement, education, and support initiatives
