Overview
Assemble boats by following a specific boat construction order. A variety of tasks are performed building the components of each boat using power and non-power hand tools working from specifications and schematic drawings.

Qualifications
Education and / or Experience – High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills – Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills – Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Compute rate, ratio, and percent and draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability – Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands
Regularly required to work at, lifting parts and pieces up to 50 lbs., traveling up and down stairs, sitting, squatting, and bending in various awkward positions for certain lengths of time – including working overhead, traveling in and out of work areas, walking, and being on your feet for a majority of the work day. Physical exertion is required.
Work Environment
Typical 10 hour work days, frequent overtime required. PPE requirements : Safety glasses; cut resistant glove when using carpet knife. Environment characteristics : heat / cold, dust / dampness, height; chemical; noise.
