Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Labor & Delivery position requiring a VA or compact license and advanced certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a community hospital
  • Night shifts (3x12 hours, 19 : 00-07 : 30)
  • Patient population includes laboring mothers and newborns
  • Candidates may float within scope as needed
  • EPIC charting system is used and experience is required
  • Responsible for providing comprehensive care to mothers throughout the labor and delivery process
  • Return staff must be gone from the health system for at least twelve months before eligibility
  • Modules are assigned during orientation and must be completed by the Friday of orientation week
  • Natural nail policy is enforced
  • Drug- and tobacco-free work environment; smoking is not permitted on campus
  • No guaranteed holidays off; coverage may be required
  • Locals are accepted at the same base rate
  • First week of assignment is not eligible for approved time off

    • Requirements

  • Active VA or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
  • Minimum 12 months of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required
  • Certifications required : ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE accreditation accepted)
  • EPIC EMR experience is required
  • BSN preferred but not required
  • Two professional references required
