The Eaton's IS AER FED division is located in Jackson, MI. This position has responsibility for the quality of Eaton's products through the development and enforcement of quality and manufacturing processes. You will develop and implement plans to achieve operation and group quality goals, direct the implementation and ongoing oversight of the Aerospace Quality Leading Indicators and Quality Best Practices, ensure compliance to customer quality requirements, and act as the principal contact for customer on quality issues.

Manage customer communications, corrective actions, customer NOEs, supplier quality, shop floor quality, and Eaton PPAP. This position has responsibility and oversight of product produced in Jackson, MI and Tijuana, Mexico and ensures compliance to delegated processes in Lakeside, U.K., Gilching, Germany, and Serres-Castet, France. The Jackson site has QMS responsibilities for centralized design and customer service activities within the QMS. Responsibilities include ensuring delegated distributors maintain FAA approval by providing audit and approval letters to Eaton engineering standards.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $123,750.00 - $181,500.00 a year. This position is eligible for a variable incentive program. Salary is a general guideline and depends on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What You'll Do

• Oversee, hire, and mentor all areas of quality personnel including return material (warranty), receiving inspection, final inspection, source inspection, supplier quality, manufacturing quality, customer quality, and quality compliance.
• Monitor overall plant quality progress and performance and make corrections as needed.
• Act as a primary organizational contact for customer concerns and ensure appropriate corrective actions are deployed as necessary.
• Ensure organizational readiness for customer and other third party assessments.
• Deploy Eaton Business System tools, where appropriate or required, to improve Quality Management System effectiveness (i.e. EQS, QLI, PPAP, WISPER, etc.).
• Maintain FAA approval and oversight of delegated distributor hose shops and internal FAA repair station.
• Ensure that necessary organizational certifications and regulatory requirements are obtained, maintained, and improved (e.g., QMS AS9100, NADCAP, FAA).
• Develop and deploy effective FMEAs and Control Plans using Eaton PPAP to ensure process controls and standard work on the shop floor.
• Develop, set and achieve goals for manufacturing and supplier quality engineering teams aligned with the Quality Department and HPWT.
• Promote awareness of customer and regulatory requirements throughout the organization.
• Direct the disposition and analysis of returned material, internal non-conforming product, and delegated MRB authority. Ensure actions around top Pareto items are identified and completed.
• Manage customer portals and customer scorecards to ensure actions are completed and customer requirements are met.
• Maintain and action quality metrics : FRY, Customer and Intra-site DPPM, CONC, Scrap $, Warranty $, Customer Corrective Action OTD, Customer Audits, Supplier DPPM, Supplier Corrective Action OTD.
