Cyber Security Analyst
The Cyber Security Analyst plays a critical role in protecting LSB Industries' digital environments across our manufacturing facilities and corporate network. This role focuses on safeguarding critical systems, ensuring audit readiness, and strengthening the company's overall security posture through proactive monitoring, incident response, and compliance oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Security Operations & Incident Response
- Monitor and analyze alerts from SIEM, EDR, and other security tools to identify and respond to potential threats in both IT and OT environments.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, coordinating with IT and plant operations teams to ensure minimal disruption to manufacturing systems.
- Support vulnerability management programs, including patch verification, remediation tracking, and risk-based prioritization.
- Participate in internal and external cybersecurity and ITGC audits; gather evidence, track remediation, and ensure continuous compliance with SOX, ISO, and NIST frameworks.
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity documentation, including policies, playbooks, and control matrices.
- Assist with third-party risk assessments and ensure vendors comply with LSB's security standards.
Industrial / Manufacturing Security
Support cybersecurity controls and segmentation for plant networks, DCS, PLCs, and SCADA systems in partnership with OT and engineering teams.Evaluate and implement industrial cybersecurity best practices (ISA / IEC 62443, NIST 800-82).Assist in secure integration of new industrial systems, sensors, and IoT technologies.Audit Readiness & Continuous Improvement
Ensure evidence and control documentation are always audit-ready.Identify gaps in cybersecurity controls and work cross-functionally to improve processes and tools.Support tabletop exercises, penetration testing, and red / blue team drills.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, or critical infrastructure environment.Understanding of network security principles, firewalls, intrusion detection / prevention, and endpoint protection.Experience supporting or participating in SOX, ITGC, or other compliance audits.Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex issues clearly to both technical and business audiences.Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of OT security (DCS, PLC, SCADA) and industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC, Ethernet / IP).Familiarity with ThreatLocker, Proofpoint, and other endpoint or email security tools.Experience with SIEM and EDR platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Defender suite, CrowdStrike, or SentinelOne.Familiarity with NIST CSF, ISA / IEC 62443, and cybersecurity maturity assessments.Certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CISA, or GICSP not required, but a plus.Collaborative communicator – works effectively across IT, Engineering, and Audit teams.Process-driven – understands the importance of documentation, repeatability, and audit traceability.Analytical and curious – proactive in identifying risks and investigating anomalies.Calm under pressure – capable of responding effectively during security incidents or operational disruptions.Seniority level
