Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Med Surg Discipline : RN Start Date : 12 / 15 / 2025 Duration : 8 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Local Contract Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Schedule This is a night and day shift position, requiring three 12-hour shifts per week. Night shifts are from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30, while day shifts are from 07 : 00 to 19 : 30. Assignment Duration This is an 8-week contract position with no holiday restrictions on time off and full holiday availability; travelers must start in December. Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical to provide high-quality patient care in a 36-bed unit. You'll work closely with an interdisciplinary team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among healthcare professionals. Responsibilities Provide patient care for adults and geriatric patients in a medical-surgical setting. Monitor and document vital signs, patient progress, and appropriate interventions. Perform and manage IV therapy, phlebotomy, and administration of blood products. Assist with gastrointestinal and genitourinary / renal care including bowel obstruction management, colostomy care, and renal failure treatment. Administer respiratory treatments using CPAP / BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and oxygen tanks. Conduct cardiac monitoring and respond effectively to dysrhythmias. Ensure adherence to isolation precautions and protocols. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure 1 year of nursing experience in a medical-surgical setting required.
