Job Title : Infection Preventionist

License : Valid RN license required

Certifications : BLS, CIC (CBIC certification in infection control)

Must-Have : Charge experience

Description :

The Infection Preventionist position requires a qualified individual to manage and improve infection prevention protocols.

The role involves monitoring healthcare-associated infections and implementing safety measures.

Candidates should be knowledgeable about CDC guidelines and various infection control practices.

Responsibilities will include employee education programs and illness reporting.

The Infection Preventionist will also oversee compliance with safety standards.

On-call coverage for evenings, off-hours, and weekends may be required.

Candidates should have strong skills in environmental cleaning and proper use of personal protective equipment.

Ability to identify trends and report surveillance data is essential.

This position requires no floating between units.

Weekends are not required.

Block scheduling is not a part of this role.

Previous experience in infection control and prevention is strongly preferred.

This role supports a diverse patient population, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Overall, the position aims to ensure high standards of infection control within the facility.
