Responsibilities Work in a hospital Med / Surg unit focusing on renal and gastroenterology patient populations Handles patients across the pediatric to geriatric age spectrum 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 pm to 7 : 00 am, three shifts per week Uses Epic for charting and documentation Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required Provide comprehensive patient assessments and deliver age-appropriate nursing care Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient status and progress Demonstrate proficient clinical skills and respond effectively to emergencies Practice in accordance with National Patient Safety Goals and hospital’s protocols Participate as an active member of the care team, supporting patient education and satisfaction May be assigned perioperative education and assessment responsibilities Must comply with all hospital policies and HIPAA confidentiality standards Requirements Active NJ or compact RN license required Minimum of 1 year recent Med / Surg RN experience Current BLS certification required Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; associate or bachelor's degree preferred Experience with Epic EMR required Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624787.
