This role is part of Blue Origin Operations which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain Test Operations Safety Quality and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise leadership skills and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!

Responsibilities :

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Tube Shop and associated equipment

Provide mentoring training and skills development for team members

Promote and inspire teamwork and employee morale

Promote and ensure workplace safety

Develop and monitor department metrics (Safety Quality Cost Schedule OEE)

Perform critical administrative activities including recruiting performance reviews coaching resource planning and budget management

Maintain machine shop schedules to ensure internal delivery targets are met

Collaborate with team members to address capacity and scheduling conflicts

Drive process improvements to reduce setup times and machining times

Establish maintain and improve workplace 5S and FOD controls

Provide status updates on hardware deliveries at daily schedule meeting

Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and calibrated

Qualifications :

Excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus

Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement

Fluent in use of precision hand tools

Proficiency in business / office computing software

Familiarity with non-conformance systems

Self-motivation and ability to prioritize projects to meet completion dates

Desired :

Previous experience in a production start-up environment

Demonstrated experience in planning forecasting and capital equipment procurement and / or upgrades

Knowledge and understanding of precision measurement techniques and equipment

Ability to work cooperatively with teams of multi - skill levels

Required for Certain Job Profiles : Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10001 lbs. and / or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including : Driver Qualification Files Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding) Road Test Hours of Service Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only) vehicle inspection requirements CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation / shipping training.

Required for certain Job Profiles : Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
