Responsibilities Work in a 35-bed acute care hospital with assignments in the Emergency Department, ICU, and Med Surg units Patient population includes all ages and conditions such as sepsis, DKA, trauma, ARDS, MI, stroke, and ETOH ED has 9 treatment spaces, ICU has 4 beds, and Med Surg has 20 beds Patient ratios : ED 1 : 3-4, ICU 1 : 1-2, Med Surg 1 : 5 depending on acuity and age Uses Epic for charting 12-hour variable shifts with every other weekend and every other holiday required No on-call responsibilities Possible floating to ER, Med Surg, or ICU when trained Provide care for diverse acute patients across emergency, intensive care, and medical-surgical settings Work collaboratively with charge nurse (hospital coordinator), phlebotomy, RT, and hospitalist support Orientation consists of 2 days Navy blue scrubs required Free parking available on site Applicants must live more than 100 miles from the facility Return to work as a traveler is only permitted after a full year from most recent permanent employment Requirements Active RN license in SD or a compact state Minimum of 1.5 years recent relevant experience required Only first-time travelers with at least 2 years of experience considered Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS Preferred certifications : NIHSS, CPI Must be competent and comfortable working in ED, ICU, and Med Surg areas Completion of an approved nursing education program Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-630490.
