Our Downtown Hospital seeks a locum breast surgeon for coverage from July to December 2024, with potential for extension. The position requires handling general surgical cases, specifically breast surgery, within an office-clinic and hospital setting. Candidates must have board certification in general surgery, BLS certification, and relevant licensure, with preferred fellowship training in breast surgery.

Our Downtown Hospital is looking for locum breast surgery coverage July 2024 through December 2024 with possible extension!

Job Details :

  • Trauma Level / Designation : No designation at this time
  • Documentation System / EMR : Epic
  • Number of Operating Rooms : 28 across to hospitals
  • Number of General Surgeons in Practice : 9
  • Patient Age Demographic : Adult, geriatric

Procedures Required :

  • General Surgical Cases ADULT
  • Breast Surgery
  • Cholecystectomy
  • Hernioplasty

    • Travel Requirements :

  • Facility will reimburse flight, hotel, car rental, mileage billed at the IRS Standard Rate.
  • All other bookings must be standard / economy
  • Lodging must be $150 / night
  • Anything beyond these parameters must be approved

    • Estimated Credentialing Timeframe : 90 days for full privileges; 2 weeks for temporary privileges

    SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • Board Certified General Surgery - REQUIRED
  • BLS Certified - REQUIRED
  • Active SC license & DEA - REQUIRED
  • Clean background (medical & criminal) - REQUIRED
  • Breast Surgery Fellowship - Highly Preferred; must at least have extensive training
