• Work 3x12 day shifts from 6 : 00 AM to 6 : 30 PM
• 2 years of PACU experience required
• Previous charge experience required
• Float between Pre-Op and PACU units
• Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Scrubs not provided - must wear navy color scrubs
• Charting system : Cerner (experience preferred)
• Patient ratio : 2 patients during day shifts
• Care for mostly adult population with some adolescents, rarely children under 6
• Provide recovery care for mostly orthopedic cases and some general surgery cases
• Manage patients with various diagnoses including vascular bypasses, fistula creations, spinal fusions, and orthopedic procedures
• Unit has 21 beds with daily census of 30 patients
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Unit accepts first-time travelers
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
