Beds : 12 (including Triage)

Experience- 2 years

First-time traveler- Upon Review

Patient Types :

Neonates to geriatrics, various types of illnesses, majority of patients are adults

Patient Ratios :

1-5, up to 6 rarely (acuity based)

Required Certifications :

BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS, De-escalation training (MOAB or CPI)

Skills required

General ED skillset, chest tubes, drips, IV starts, phlebotomy, EKGs, cardiac rhythm interpretation

Support on the Unit :

CNA (Ratio – 1 : 12)

Charge nurse : does this person have patient load? No titled Charge RN in the ED

Phlebotomy team? ED RN's will perform phlebotomy at the bedside

Resource Nurse, Lead RN functions as a resource

RT – in house 24 / 7? Yes

Hospitalist – in house 24 / 7? Yes

Bedside and Nursing station telemetry – no tele tech
