Planner

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing production schedules that align with customer demands, operational capabilities, and material availability. This role requires close collaboration with the project engineering, procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations while maintaining strict adherence to quality standards and timelines. The Production Planner will play a critical role in optimizing resources, reducing downtime, and driving efficiency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Develops, maintains, and optimizes the Production Schedule to align demand forecasts, capacity, and material availability. Coordinates closely with Procurement, Production, Project Engineering and Sales to remove blocks, ensure accurate lead times and prioritization. Monitors and reports order status, schedule adherence, backlog, and capacity utilization, driving improvements where needed. Uses ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Epicor) to generate and update schedules and manage order priorities as well as inventory levels. Analyze production performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend adjustments to improve efficiency and output. Create and support strategic initiatives to optimize inventory, PFEP and product ramp-up/ramp-down. Other duties as required.
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) and/or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) accreditation or other relevant certification is preferred. Proven experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment. Experience in forgings, castings, welded and machined parts a plus. Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and production planning software. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across teams. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Small amount of physical and mobile work. Up to 10% travel when required.
