ER RN Job Details - Asheville, NC Location : Mission Hospital, Asheville, NC 28801 Assignment Type : Travel Nursing - Emergency Room Registered Nurse Unit : Emergency Department (ER) Number of Beds : 101 Patient Ratios : 4 : 1 (medical), up to 7 : 1 (ED behavioral holds) Shift : 12 Hour Nights (1 : 00PM - 1 : 00AM) Hours per Week : 36 Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 20 / 2025 - End : 1 / 19 / 2026) Scheduling : Every other weekend required; flexible scheduling to meet department needs Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,530 - $1,640 Emergency Room Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 1 year of recent experience in an Emergency Room setting Preferred : 2 years of nursing experience, including Level II trauma center and high-volume ED (100,000 visits annually) Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire Strong teamwork skills and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department Experience with Cerner electronic documentation system preferred ER RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors for clinical support Collaborate with techs, unit clerks, and multidisciplinary staff to optimize patient outcomes Maintain respectful behavior and positive patient experience using AIDET principles Update patient boards and keep patients informed throughout their visit Float to all sections of the Emergency Department as needed Comply with hospital policies, dress code (navy scrubs), and attendance guidelines Why Choose Asheville for Your Next Healthcare Job?
