Position Summary

We are seeking a talented Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain the critical services that underpin our business operations. This role focuses on connecting our core platforms, including NetSuite, BigCommerce, and Directus. While you will leverage our integration platform (Boomi) for certain workflows, you will also develop custom solutions, ensuring our technology ecosystem is efficient, reliable, and built for scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Backend Development : Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, reusable backend services, primarily using Go (Golang) and HTMX, to support business-critical functions.
  • ETL & Database Optimization : Build and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes. Write efficient SQL queries and contribute to the performance and design of our application databases.
  • Problem Solving & Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve complex issues within our backend systems and integrations, performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaboration & Documentation : Work closely with the team to define technical requirements and produce clear, concise documentation for the services and systems you build.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Backend Engineer, Software Engineer, or a similar development-focused role.
  • Strong proficiency in a backend programming language , with a primary requirement for Go (Golang).
  • Solid experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and a deep understanding of web service architecture.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Demonstrable experience with the principles of system integration and connecting disparate business applications (e.g., ERP, e-commerce, CRM).

    • Qualifications

  • Experience with an iPaaS platform like Boomi is a major plus.
  • Direct API integration experience with NetSuite, BigCommerce, and / or Directus.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTMX for building simple, effective internal tools.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker).
  • Some front-end experience .
