Job Overview :

Performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations

Qualifications : Required :

High school graduate or equivalent required.a

Graduate of an AccreditedaUltrasoundaSchool.a

ARDMS Certification required.a

Must be CPR certified.

Preferred :

Minimumathree yearsaexperience in a hospital setting performing the following preferred : aAbdomen, OB / GYN, Small Parts, Thyroid, Vascular, Pediatric,aBiopsiesaand Interventional Procedures.a

RVT

Essential Functions :

• Screen requisitions to ensure proper exams are being ordered and proper prep is called to the Nurse taking care of the patient.
• Ensure proper work flow is being maintained.
• Maintain positive relationship between Radiologist and sonographers.
• Assist Lead Technologist and Supervisor in the day to day operation.
• Primary person ensuring proper steps are taken in the documentation process of ultrasound exams (tracking / dictation of exam in timely manner).
• Initiate service calls and documents.
• Train fellow sonographers and students with complex and / or new techniques.
