Job descriptionGraduate degree in human services (MSW, MA, MS, PhD, EdD, or equivalent). Independent Massachusetts clinical licensure (LICSW preferred; LMHC acceptable). Minimum 5 years of progressive behavioral health leadership experience, with at least 3 years in PHP / IOP program management. Strong knowledge of regulatory and payer requirements. Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Commitment to trauma-informed, patient-centered care. Experience in co-occurring mental health and substance use treatment. Familiarity with EHR systems and clinical documentation. Background in program development and expansion.

Job Description
The Director of Outpatient Services provides leadership and oversight for Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHPs), ensuring the delivery of high-quality, recovery-oriented behavioral health care. This role manages day-to-day operations, clinical and administrative staff, program compliance, quality improvement, and external partnerships across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all PHP operations across designated locations.
- Recruit, supervise, and support clinical and administrative staff, including graduate interns.
- Oversee interdisciplinary care teams to ensure integrated, patient-centered treatment.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation requirements (DMH, Joint Commission, CMS, managed care).
- Monitor billing practices and ensure fiscal accountability.
- Develop and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, schools, and community agencies.
- Drive program growth and quality improvement initiatives.
