Transportation Specialist

Transportation Warehouse Specialist Reports to :

• Scenic Shop Manager   JOB DESCRIPTIONS / DUTIES Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to the following :       Driving the company semi-truck, pickup trucks and trailers to facilitate the local transportation of items.
• Most driving duties are local between West Valley City and Sandy, UT Responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of warehouse & show assets Responsible for updating inventory software.
• Coordinate transportation schedules in accordance with production needs.
• Responsible for maintaining the company pickup trucks, trailers, and Semi-Truck Maintain proper storage practices to mitigate damage to warehouse inventory.
• Work independently or in a team to transport items between local facilities.
• Maintain proper transportation practices to mitigate damage during transport.
• Loading and unloading truck trailers and connexes.
• Work to locate and retrieve items from the warehouse and other storage areas.
• Complete tasks as assigned by the Shop Manager in an efficient and timely manner.
• Participate in the Strike / Install operations of all scenic elements for productions.

Maintaining a safe working environment at all times by adhering to Hale Centre Theatre safety policies and procedures  Maintain a safe & clean work environment onstage, backstage, shop and storage areas for staff and performers alike.  Any other projects as assigned by the Scenic Shop Manager.      QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS :
