Job Title : Senior BIM Coordinator

Job Overview :

The Senior BIM Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology throughout the design, construction, and handover phases of a project. This role requires close collaboration with BIM teams, architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful integration of BIM into the project workflow.

Key Responsibilities :

BIM Coordination : Develop and implement BIM execution plans. Lead coordination meetings to resolve clashes, conflicts, and discrepancies within BIM models.

BIM Modeling : Create, maintain, and manage 3D BIM models, including electrical, architectural, structural, and mechanical elements, ensuring adherence to industry standards.

Quality Control : Review models and data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements. Resolve issues to improve overall project quality.

Clash Detection : Use clash detection software to identify and resolve interferences within BIM models.

BIM Standards : Establish and enforce standards and protocols to ensure consistency across all project disciplines. Maintain BIM libraries and templates.

Information Management : Organize and manage project-related data within the BIM environment, including documentation and specifications.

Training & Support : Provide guidance, training, and technical support to team members on BIM tools and processes.

Integration : Ensure seamless interoperability between various BIM software platforms and project disciplines.

Project Collaboration : Facilitate effective communication and collaboration through BIM technologies.

Emerging Technologies : Stay current on BIM trends and recommend innovative tools or methods to improve efficiency and quality.

Required Qualifications :

Strong experience with BIM software (e.g., Revit, ArchiCAD, Navisworks) and other BIM tools.

Knowledge of electrical construction project workflows and processes.

Deep understanding of BIM standards, protocols, and best practices.

Proficiency in clash detection, model coordination, and data management.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.

Problem-solving abilities to address BIM-related challenges.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
