Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Assistant assists, supports, and provides direct care to patients under the direction of the licensed nurse.
• Assists with activities of daily living, including but not limited to, bathing, feeding and ambulation.
• Obtains vital signs, EKG, phlebotomy and blood glucose.
• Documents and reports results to licensed nurse.
• Provides a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Performs clerical functions including initiating, directing and receiving telephone calls, preparing, printing and scanning various patient reports and medical record information to internal and external departments and facilities.
