Hi, my name is Jarod Carter. I'm a physical therapist and owner of a PT clinic in the Central Austin / Westlake area : Carter Physiotherapy.

We're looking for an experienced Manual Physical Therapist with great interpersonal skills who is interested in part-time or full-time hours. But before I start asking you questions, let me tell you a bit more about this practice, our treatment philosophy so you can determine if you are likely to be a great fit at this practice …

Treating patients with our hands has been our primary focus but we never discount the importance of therex, and all of our patients are taught a HEP to support what we do in the clinic... We just don't have patients doing things in the clinic that they could be doing on their own at home or a gym … people don't like to pay much out-of-pocket for that treatment approach.

Our reputation and results have earned us the "Best Physical Therapy" designation by the Austin Fit Magazine "Best of Austin" poll 5 times over the last decade.

Due to legal limitations from not being a Participating Medicare Provider, we do not treat a great deal of Medicare beneficiaries though we do have a handful of Medicare-aged patients here and there.

Patients pay in-full at the time of service and are provided a receipt with the necessary codes / info to send in self-claims to insurance if they so choose.

Documentation must be inline with the State Practice Act, but much of the insurance-based paperwork requirements do not exist in this clinic, and this position involves Far Less documentation and administrative burden than traditional PT positions.

Clinically, we're looking for a stellar manual therapist. Having solid training in manual therapy beyond what is taught in PT school is needed... including skills in soft tissue techniques, not just joint mobilizations.

But there's something even more important than your manual / PT skills : your personality, interpersonal skills, and an ability to build great rapport with a wide variety of patients.

This position is highly autonomous, and you'll be working independently in your own treatment room, so it is a role for a therapist with enough experience that they can deliver high-level results without clinical guidance and mentorship.
