Responsibilities Position in the PACU with duties focused on interventional radiology (IR) and phase 1 recovery Hospital setting handling both adult and pediatric patient populations Shifts are three 12-hour days per week with variable start times (6 : 00, 7 : 00, or 8 : 00 AM) based on unit needs 3-4 late shifts required every 6 weeks Weekday call from 8 : 00 PM to 6 : 00 AM; weekend call divided into two shifts (6 : 00 AM - 6 : 00 PM or 6 : 00 PM - 6 : 00 AM) Call response time requirement is 1 hour Floating required within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals in the region IR PACU team responsible only for recovering IR PACU patients when floating to main PACU RNs are responsible for monitoring post-anesthesia recovery in both IR and main PACU settings IR PACU staff will accompany patients to main PACU as needed to complete recovery Return travelers must have been gone for at least 90 days Orientation modules completed during onboarding and annually, with specialty-specific content Prior employment with the health system will be verified for rehire eligibility RTO must be presented at time of consideration; time off requested after offer will not be approved First-time travelers are eligible if all requirements are met Requirements Active KY or compact RN license required at time of consideration Minimum of 2 years RN experience in PACU specialty At least 1 year ICU experience required Prior experience in IR PACU and phase 1 recovery required Experience caring for pediatric patients is required Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; PALS required prior to start but not required at time of consideration No licensure hits will be accepted Candidates must have at least one reference from a charge nurse or supervisor Candidates must not reside within 75 miles of the facility Level 1 trauma experience may be required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-629559.
