American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of experience for an acute and outpatient rehabilitation position requiring active licensure and BLS certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is based in an acute care setting with both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation responsibilitiesWork schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 : 30 am to 5 : 00 pm, with occasional weekend inpatient coverage and every 6th Saturday requiredPatient caseload ranges from 8 to 14 patients per day, including evaluations and treatmentsPrimary coverage is outpatient, with acute inpatient coverage during weekend rotationCommon diagnoses include post-surgical orthopedics, neurological conditions, chronic pain, back and neck radiculopathy, and some pediatricsUses Epic for electronic medical records; proficiency with this system is expectedMain responsibilities include conducting evaluations and treatments for a diverse patient populationTeam includes 1 manager, 1 lead therapist, 1 tech, 3 PTAs, and 1 PRN PTAExpect to work both independently and with team support as neededDepartment-specific orientation is providedBusiness casual dress code is observed, allowing black or khaki pants and scrubs in black, khaki, or grayHoliday coverage is requiredThis is a drug-free campus, and a negative drug screen is requiredCOVID-19 vaccination is not requiredLocal candidates are accepted with a local pay rate applied if residing within 50 miles\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 2 years' recent experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute and outpatient settingActive state license required if applicable; license must be active at time of considerationDegree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university (bachelor, master, or doctorate)Current BLS certification (AHA) requiredStrong EMR documentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills requiredAbility to adapt quickly, work flexibly, and maintain accountability for documentation and billingAdditional certification in PFMD or lymphedema therapy is highly preferred\n Benefits\n
