An experienced and licensed Gastroenterology Hospitalist is sought by a health services network in Orange County. The physician will treat both acute and chronic illnesses, perform diagnostic tests, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve care delivery. The role requires a New York medical license and board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology.

A health services network in Orange County is currently seeking an experienced, licensed Gastroenterology Hospitalist to join their team.

About the Opportunity :

  • Setting : Inpatient
  • Schedule : Open to 7 on 7 off or Monday-Friday standard business hours
  • Call Schedule : No call

Responsibilities :

The Gastroenterologist will be responsible for :

  • Examining & obtaining medical history and treating acute & chronic illnesses
  • Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests
  • Creating treatment plans and involving patients & family members in those plans
  • Initiating appropriate specialty referrals
  • Collaborating on the improvement in care delivery and service with management, other Physicians and staff
  • Working with Practice Management to ensure compliance with billing and coding requirements
  • Providing education for residents, medical students, nursing and other allied health professions
  • Perform other duties as needed

    • Qualifications :

  • Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York
  • Board Eligible / Certified in Gastroenterology
