Job Description

Position Purpose

Under close general direction performs semi-skilled and routine work in the processing and collection of leaf and related refuse.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties

Removes leaves and related materials from city streets and city property.
Performs other manual labor as requested.
Performs related work as required.

Qualifications

Training and Experience

Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an equivalent GED certificate.

Possession of a valid driver’s license.

Special Requirements

Ability to successfully complete pre-employment drug screening.

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Working knowledge of the operation of trucks and other assigned pieces of equipment.

Ability to use common sense in the safe operation of small equipment in confined areas.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and the general public.

Exhibits the traits of sound judgment, resourcefulness, dependability, exercises mature judgment and integrity.
