Ripple Foods is looking for a Supply Chain Planner to join our Supply Chain team. This role will be responsible for managing certain ingredient functions across the supply chain. This position requires negotiation tactics, collaboration, analytical problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to execute new supply chain practices.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Able to review and potentially optimize suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, and other relevant factors
- Main material management : Pea Proteins and all packaging components
- Issuing and maintaining PO’s for materials to support production at Co-mans
- Evaluating and manage Protein forecasts / orders for co-man network and suppliers
- Validating price, BOM, and ingredient accuracy from co-man reports
- Work cross functionally with Finance and co-man network to process credits and inventory transactions for Ripple supplied materials
- Creating LDs / TRFO / IF / IR for of all applicable ingredients to co-mans
- Ensure COA's are provided for inbound raw materials to co-mans
- Placing Monthly forecasts, PO's and transfers to support pea protein production
- Monitor and manage inventory levels at non-turnkey co-mans
- Work cross functionally with logistics to manage material movements from warehouse or suppliers
- Manage weekly inventory reconciliation for warehouse for inbound accuracy
- Creative problem solver that can navigate and manage current supply chain challenges
- Ensure all suppliers are meeting Ripple’s service, cost, quality, and innovation needs
- Work with Sr Director of Procurement to identify new suppliers and capabilities as needed for product launches or extensions
- Help manage supplier KPI’s
- Monitor and help manage Procurement / Ingredient management planning spreadsheets and raw material prequalification tracker
- Validate the bill of materials in NetSuite and manufacturer costing sheets to ensure savings are being passed through and Ripple is billed accurately for production
- Contribute to solving freight-in variances for raw material movements
- Manage GTIN and UPC creation and maintenance for finished goods. Utilizing the GS1 website, manage FG item numbers, UPCs, GTINs, and the component details of cases before sharing them with sales and marketing
- Manage inbound freight for raw materials and packaging with Worldwide Express network and suppliers
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have :
4-year college degree in business, operations, supply chain or related fieldMinimum of 3 years supply chain experience within procurement or planning, strongly preferred with perishable products & co-packing networkStrong Excel knowledgeStrong MRP and NetSuite ERP system preferred.Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.Continuous Improvement mindsetMust have a strong sense of urgency and excellent customer service skillsExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsSelf-starter with the aptitude to learn and develop new skills and competencies in new systemsSomeone that thrives in a quickly growing environment with successful communication across functionsRipple still has a start-up feel and our teams are always ready to roll up their sleeves to tackle the different challenges that come our way.
