Pay Range : $18.91 – $23.58 (hourly)

Schedule : Shift hours are 4pm - 12am; Schedule to be discuss during the interview

Position Overview

The Resident Assistant serves to ensure a safe, secure, healthy, clean, and positive environment for families as they make their transition from homelessness through after care. This position assists families in service plan implementation by obtaining and providing feedback regarding their progress toward service plan goals. Maintains respect, support, care, and a family atmosphere for residents of the facility and fellow staff members.

Position Requirements :

• High School diploma / GED Equivalent, required.
• Ability to obtain CPR / First Aid Certification within 90 days from date of hire, required.
• Local travel is required; A current Clean & Valid New York State Driver’s License (actively licensed at least one year) - is required
• Ability to work with clients with mental health issues, substance abuse and developmental disabilities.
• Knowledge of community resources is beneficial.
• Previous experience working in a human services agency is a plus!
• Proficiency in computer applications : Microsoft Office & Google Business Workspace Suite; and use Secure Internet practices.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; Capable of building strong working relationships with regulatory bodies.
• Self-motivated and engaged, with a strong attention to detail; Excellent writing aptitude.
• A compassionate, warm and caring mindset; Capable of exhibiting empathy for those in crisis.
• Capacity and openness to work with populations from culturally diverse and economically disadvantaged backgrounds, including but not limited to a broad range of people with various developmental and functional levels.
• Qualities of positivity, flexibility and adaptability; Integrity, proven reliability and dependability.
• Capable of exercising ethical, independent judgment and discretion, and handle sensitive data with strict confidentiality.
• Staff in driving positions must be able to meet agency’s minimum requirements of our insurance policy for authorized drivers; including, but not limited to the minimum age of 21 at time of hire.
