Position Description Position Summary: The HR Coordinator performs various HR functions and assists the HR Manager with accomplishing a variety of HR related tasks.
Essential Job Responsibilities - Provide administrative support to the HR Manager
- Perform onboarding tasks, including new hire orientation
- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with recruitment activities, including job postings, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new hires.
- Cover the front desk for half of the workday and perform receptionist type duties.
- Assist with recruitment efforts (i.e., job fairs, utilization of employment websites, etc.)
- Responsible for both the onboarding and exiting processes for all personnel.
- Assist with benefits enrollment.
- Support performance review processes and maintain related documentation.
- Assist HR Manager with investigations and other employee relations activities.
- Assist with the coordination of Light Duty assignments and submitting workers comp claims.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the HR manager.
Position Requirements Experience, Educational, and Additional Requirements:- Prior work experience in the field of Human Resources required
- Minimum of 2 years of prior experience as an HR Coordinator, HR Administrator, or HR Assistant , strongly preferred.
- Ability to speak both English and Spanish is required for this position.
- Must be comfortable with speaking and presenting in front of audiences
- Must have a general knowledge of state and federal labor laws (i.e., FMLA, ADA, etc.)
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills required.
- Operational knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Ability to multitask, and be detail orientated
- Must be able to lift 25lb.
- Pass mandatory drug test and background check required.
- Must be able to read and write in English and/or Spanish at a level sufficient to follow safety instructions, complete required documentation accurately, and communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
