Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring a MO or compact RN license and a minimum of two years' recent PICU experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) within a hospital setting
  • Care for critically ill pediatric patients in a general PICU environment
  • Day shifts with a 3x12 hour schedule from 7 : 00 to 19 : 30
  • Mandatory floating to PCU or Med / Surg units as needed, and may be required to serve as a Patient Observer (Sitter)
  • Cerner EMR is used; prior Cerner experience is preferred but not required
  • Schedule includes working both Christmas and Christmas Eve
  • All travelers must float according to facility guidelines, including roles as Patient Observers (Sitters)
  • Must work at least 50% of holidays during the contract
  • Re-orientation is not required if returning within 18 months; a 9-month gap is required between assignments to return as a traveler
  • Local candidates within 75 miles are accepted at a reduced rate
  • Floating support and established float guidelines are provided

    • Requirements

  • Active MO or Compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are required
  • Minimum of 2 years of overall RN experience with at least 1 year in PICU
  • TNCC certification is appreciated but not mandatory
