The Opportunity
We’re seeking a Senior Technical Design & Documentation Manager — a strategic leader who elevates project quality, trains emerging designers, and improves how drawings and documentation are produced across the studio.
This role is ideal for someone who loves architecture and design but feels the greatest impact when they improve HOW the work is delivered — not just producing drawings.
This isn’t a production role.
This is a technical leadership role.
Major Job Functions
Technical Leadership & Project SupportServe as the go-to expert on constructability, detailing, materials, and building systemsGuide early technical decisions to ensure designs can be built successfullyDocumentation Strategy & Quality ControlLead documentation standards across multiple project teamsReview drawing sets at each phase, improving clarity and reducing riskEnsure documentation aligns with design intent and project delivery goalsCross-disciplinary CoordinationPartner with PMs, Designers, Principals, and consultantsResolve technical challenges early to prevent field issuesProcess + Best Practices DevelopmentMaintain and improve internal documentation templates, workflows, checklistsEstablish repeatable technical processes the entire studio will followMentorship & TrainingCoach junior and mid-level designers on technical excellenceBuild the next generation of technical leadership inside the firmWho You Are

Compensation & Benefits
$120,000–$160,000+ depending on experience
Hybrid schedule (approximately 3 days onsite)
