Responsibilities Position is based in an ICU with 18 beds handling both ICU and step-down patients Patient ratios are 2 : 1 for ICU and 3 : 1 for step-down care Float to step-down level of care as needed 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and holiday required Charge nurse takes patients Uses telemetry / EKG monitoring and ventilator management Navy blue scrubs required Experience with tPa administration and massive transfusion (Belmont) preferred Responsibilities include initiating and titrating various drips, strong critical thinking, and advanced assessment of neurological patients Unit has a supportive core staff and needs traveler support for increased volume COVID-19 vaccine not currently required but subject to change Candidates must be willing to work within a 40-mile radius from the facility Every other holiday coverage expected First-time travelers will not be considered Requirements Active IL RN license required Certifications required : AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum of 2 years recent ICU nursing experience required, 3 years preferred At least one previous travel assignment required Experience with neuro assessment, NIHSS, dysphagia screening, telemetry / EKG interpretation, endotracheal tube and ventilator management, sedation and cardiac drips, sepsis protocols, and post-ROSC therapeutic hypothermia Ability to pass a telemetry / EKG test on the first day Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-614283.
