Silver Oak Academy is located on a scenic 78-acre campus surrounded by sprawling corn fields, beautiful woods full of local wildlife and foliage, a football stadium, an athletic center (gymnasium, padded wrestling room, a fully equipped weight room & more), a Tech Center, student housing for 96 youth, and an academic building all just a short commute from Frederick, Baltimore & DC. On site dormitories are available for staff use during their shift and overnight for those with a long commute, or limited transportation. Silver Oak provides services to adolescent males with a variety of mental health conditions in a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility, Type 1 school.

Pay

: starting at $65,000 / year with a

$5,000 bonus

($2,500 paid at three months, $2,500 paid at six months).

What you will do :

Our Therapists are responsible for overall delivery and implementation of each students education plan, attending Child and Family Team meetings and treatment team meetings, and completing assessments, progress updates and reports as required by the county and state. This position reports to the Clinical Director.

To be considered you should :

Must possess the education and current specific licensure required per licensing. Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree preferred and licensure in the field of mental health as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or related.

Must be certified through MSDE or able to obtain certification within 3 months (requires 3 semester hours of special education training)

Have one year of prior experience working in a residential setting for children.

Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
