Job Summary and Responsibilities
Following is a summary of what you can expect in this role :
- Assist in the performance of direct patient care services, including inpatient consults, consents and rounding
- Perform history and physical examinations of radiology patients
- Order laboratory and radiographic studies
- Assist with radiology procedures including paracentesis, thoracentesis, lumbar punctures, chest tubes, image guided IV access, as well as fluoroscopy examinations.
- Develop and implement patient management plans and record progress notes
- Assist with patient education, follow up and discharge notes
- Assist with training of new APP hires
- Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement for patient care
- Work within a multidisciplinary team
- Additional duties as assigned by clinical or operational leadership

Degree as a Physician AssistantGraduation from an accredited Physician Assistant programBackground in pre-med preferredMinimum 3 years prior experiencePrior experience as a Diagnostic Radiology or Interventional Radiology PA strongly preferredAbility to perform procedures requiring fine motor skills to include repetitive handworkDemonstrated ability to work with little supervisionMust hold and maintain : a.) AZ Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants License, b.) NCCPA - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant.Valid DEA registration.Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staffNP Requirements :
Master's Degree in nursing. Graduate of accredited program for nurse practitionersCompact state or Arizona RN licenseArizona Advanced Practice Nurse licenseSurgical First Assist certificationMinimum 3 years prior experiencePrior experience as a Diagnostic Radiology or Interventional Radiology NP strongly preferredAbility to perform procedures requiring fine motor skills to include repetitive handworkDemonstrated ability to work with little supervisionMust hold and maintain National Certificate as a nurse practitioner in area of specialty under AZ regulations : a.) Dignity Health Medical Group is the employed provider group of Dignity Health Arizona. Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) employs approximately 300 providers and 850 support staff who cover a wide variety of specialties. The medical group has had tremendous success over the past few years and now provides more than 73 sub-specialty services. The physicians and APPs provide clinical services in their areas of specialty and many serve in pivotal academic research and leadership roles. DHMG is also heavily involved in preparing tomorrow's healthcare providers. Pay Range
$56.83 - $73.87 / hour
