Northrop Grumman offers an internship program under DoD SkillBridge designed to transition service members into entry to mid-level roles with on-site, on-the-job training and a 40-hour work week. The program focuses on developing skills to support NG missions and to serve as a pipeline for future full-time opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Support the Codes team on the Ground Subsystem Support Contract (GSSC) with equipment maintenance and repair.
- Support the Codes travel team performing shielding effectiveness verification testing of NSA-certified TEMPEST enclosures at various USAF wing locations.
- Review EMI / EMC test plans and procedures to meet DID requirements; assist with Test Plans / Procedures and Test Readiness Reviews.
- Perform and / or witness EMI / EMC test execution per MIL-STD-461F / G; support design mitigation for EUT compliance.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair Wing Code Processing Systems (WCPS) at government facilities.
- Prepare detailed activity reports for WCPS and Shielded Enclosure (SE) related activities; contribute to CDRL documents per DID requirements.
- Compile data and identify changes required in test equipment, procedures, or new test requirements.
- Analyze data against requirements and interfaces for each hardware build and component; interface with Electrical and Systems engineers for maintenance, repair, and verification.
- Support Shielding Effectiveness testing at remote site locations per IEEE-STD-299 & TEMPEST / 1-95.
Basic Qualifications - T02
2+ years' experience with a Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret security clearance; ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.1+ years' experience coordinating project requirements to meet schedule timelines; ability to travel on short notice.4+ years' experience with MM III ICBM Codes systems; familiarity with Air Force Codes hardware, software, and interfacing systems.COMSEC, Cryptology, and Nuclear Surety training; understanding of Air Force Technical Orders and security documentation.Ability to work with technical data (drawings, Source Control Drawings, etc.).Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat.Basic Qualifications - T03
5+ years' experience with a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years with a Master's, 1+ year with a PhD, or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.US Citizen with active DoD Secret clearance; ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.3+ years' experience meeting project requirements and schedules; ability to travel on short notice.4+ years' experience with MM III ICBM Codes systems; similar requirements as T02.COMSEC, Cryptology, Nuclear Surety training; familiarity with Air Force Technical Orders and security guidelines.Willingness to travel up to 50% and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.Preferred Qualifications
1+ year interfacing with DoD customers on technical program elements; experience leading technical teams in weapon system maintenance actions.Active Top Secret Clearance with recent investigation.Experience analyzing weapon system failure data and reliability activities; involvement in Ground Systems Aging Surveillance.Salary and Benefits
Primary Level Salary Range : $70,200.00 - $105,400.00
Secondary Level Salary Range : $95,300.00 - $142,900.00
Salary ranges are guidelines; individual offers depend on scope, responsibilities, experience, and market conditions. Benefits include health and life insurance, savings plan, holidays, and PTO. Overtime, shift differential, bonuses, and long-term incentives may apply where eligible.
