ICU RN Job Details

Location : Pasadena, Texas 77504 (Houston metro area)

Assignment Length : 13-week travel contract

Start Date : November 3, 2025

End Date : February 2, 2026

Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM (12-hour day shifts)

Hours per Week : 36

Unit : Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 26 beds

Dress Code : Royal blue scrubs

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1360 - $1460

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Texas RN license (or compact state license)

Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience

Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications

Proficiency with mechanical ventilators, balloon pumps, CRRT, and Impella preferred

Strong communication and teamwork skills

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in a 26-bed ICU setting

Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced life support and specialized equipment (mechanical ventilators, balloon pumps, CRRT, Impella, EKOS)

Assist with bedside procedures including tracheostomies, PEG tube placements, and central line insertions

Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans

Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR

Maintain patient safety and comply with ICU unit policies and clinical guidelines
