Description:

The Position:

The Barback, at Scarlet Oak Tavern will be responsible for stocking the bartenders with everything they need to ensure an exceptional restaurant experience for our guests! The Barback will be trained on our wine list, cocktail menu, beer menu and the finer points of service.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area(s), including cleaning glasses, wiping down surfaces, and restocking supplies
• Ensure that bar is properly stocked with ice, mixers, garnishes, and other supplies
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down the bar area
• Work as a team with bartenders, servers, and other staff to provide excellent customer service
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines, including proper handling and storage of alcoholic beverages

Requirements:

• Exude a high level of hospitality to our guests – smile and have fun!
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced team environment
• Ability to multitask and take direction
• Ability to assist in all inventory procedures
• Strong communication skills
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
• Be able to lift up to 30 lbs
