Must-Have :

• Experience in Medical-Surgical / Telemetry nursing
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Management of dysrhythmias
• IV insulin protocols
• Feeding tube care and management
• Blood product administration
• Peripheral line care and management
• Heparin protocols
• Management of cardiac drips (no titration)
• PCA management
• Orthopedic trauma and total joint replacements
• Chest tube management
• Wound care and wound vac management

Description :

The position involves providing patient care in a Medical-Surgical / Telemetry setting.

Nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 5 : 1 during the day and evening shifts.

Night ratios can increase to 6 : 1 or 7 : 1.

Stretch ratios can reach up to 10 : 1 during night shifts.

Patient care technicians support nursing staff by performing vital signs, blood glucose checks, and assisting with activities of daily living.

An in-house phlebotomy team is responsible for peripheral lab draws, while nursing staff manage PICC lines and central lines.

The patient population primarily includes adults and geriatrics with diagnoses such as osteoarthritis and fractures.

Nurses are expected to manage various medical procedures and protocols as part of their daily responsibilities.

Experience with Epic charting is preferred.

Candidates must be flexible enough to float to similar units as needed.

RTO restrictions apply; no more than one week of RTO is allowed per contract.

Local candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius.
