The Position
Family Service Agency's Youth and Behavioral Health (YFBH) team is expanding! YFBH is contracted with various community partners to provide therapeutic services to children and adults. The Clinic Therapist provides therapeutic services to clients with a variety of conditions. Services are provided in a clinic setting, via telehealth, or in the community M-F between 8 : 30am-7 : 00pm. This position reports to and is supervised by the YFBH Porgram Manager.
FSA strives to be a trauma-informed and resilience-oriented organization. Because working with those impacted by trauma can affect staff in various ways, FSA actively identifies and employs methods to support staff to embody a healthy and sustainable balance of care for both themselves and others.
Sample Job Duties and Responsibilities
DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES COUNSELING : SPECIFIC DUTIES, FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to the above, counselors providing services through FSA's contract with SB County Department of Social Services will have the following duties, functions and responsibilities :
1. Include in clinical assessments clinical history related to parenting, abuse, neglect, and domestic violence, as well as appraisal of strengths and protective factors.
2. Develop treatment plans focused on strengthening family bonds, reducing conflict, improving communication, and ensuring safety.
3. Provide DSS caseworkers assigned to clients with monthly written summaries of client attendance and progress toward achievement of goals.
