Job description

Internship Opportunity

Our summer internship program is an excellent opportunity to tie what you have learned in the classroom into real-world experience. The program consists of an 11-week immersion into Werner Enterprises.

Internship Overview :

  • Paid internship that includes dedicated job training and learning opportunities
  • Located at our Corporate Headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska (some remote and off-site opportunities may be available)
  • Collaborative, inclusive work environment
  • Real-world experience
  • Paid housing / housing assistance may be available
  • Accounting major required
  • Exposure to Workday Financials

Responsibilities :

  • Crafting engaging social media content for our external channels, which have more than 190,000 followers.
  • Writing blog posts about our business solutions, professional drivers, technology and the transportation industry, for example.
  • Assisting with internal and external communications, including copywriting and content creation.
  • Supporting company events, like our annual Transportation Forum with more than 300 customers and attendees.
  • Capturing and editing multi-media content, such as photos from company events.
  • Conducting industry research to inform new articles and initiatives.
  • Gathering information from key company departments, such as safety and technology, to craft internal and external communications plans.
  • Gain valuable experience in social media coordination and content strategy for a large audience.
  • Assist in planning and executing company-wide events.
  • Work on content creation and copywriting for various internal and external campaigns.
  • Contribute to multi-media projects that showcase our company culture and solutions.

    • Qualifications :

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • Completion of introductory tax and accounting coursework preferred.
  • A passion for marketing, branding and communications.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • An interest in the transportation industry is a bonus.
