Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Jefferson, NC 28640 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 15 / 2025 – End : 3 / 16 / 2026)

Healthcare Setting : LDRP Unit (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum)

Nursing Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Patient Ratios : 1 : 1–2

Scrubs : Navy Blue

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1690–$1810

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience

Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or compact state (must be in hand by start date)

Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN (Intermediate or Advanced), Fetal Heart Monitoring

Proven autonomy and clinical expertise in LDRP settings

Ability to float to MedSurg, CNA, secretary, or helping hands roles as needed

Experience with Centricity and Meditech Magic charting systems preferred

Weekend availability as determined by department needs

Completion of all required modules and orientation prior to start

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases

Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, responding promptly to changes

Assist with high-acuity and high-risk cases, demonstrating strong clinical judgment

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes

Float to other units (MedSurg, CNA, secretary, helping hands) as needed

Accurately document patient care using Centricity and Meditech Magic systems

Maintain a compassionate and supportive environment for patients and families
