Water Utility Engineer

Full-Time | Direct Hire

Salary Range : $109,408 – $186,934

We are partnered with a leading regulated water utility to identify a Water Utility Engineer to support the planning, design, and delivery of critical capital infrastructure projects. This role offers long-term stability, public-impact work, and exposure to complex water system projects across distribution, storage, and treatment facilities.

What You’ll Do

• Plan, design, and deliver capital improvement projects including wells, pump stations, storage tanks, pipelines, pressure tanks, and treatment plants
• Manage projects from concept through construction, including scope, schedule, budget, and cost tracking
• Oversee construction activities, consultants, change orders, RFIs, inspections, and invoices
• Prepare and review permit applications, bid documents, and technical specifications
• Coordinate with internal districts, regulatory agencies, and public stakeholders
• Perform engineering calculations and civil design analysis
• Support capital budgeting, cost estimating, and regulatory filings
• Review easements, legal descriptions, and infrastructure records
• Assist with long-term water distribution system planning
• Conduct project safety planning and documentation
