HICU Float Registered Nurse - LTAC ICU

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day 3x12-Hour shifts (07 : 00 - 19 : 30), with weekend coverage every other weekend.

Job Description

The HICU Float Registered Nurse will provide exceptional nursing care across multiple units, including HICU, BHU, and Burk 2. This role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to adapt to various patient needs and unit environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to stable but critically ill patients requiring monitoring and interventions.
  • Float to ICUs and step-down units as needed.
  • Assist in the management of complex medical conditions including respiratory failure, cardiac issues, and renal complications.
  • Engage in patient education and support rehabilitation services.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to implement patient care plans.

    • Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting preferred.
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required; additional certifications preferred.
  • Experience with Cerner charting system required.
  • Preferred experience in LTAC, Trauma Level I, and teaching hospital environments.
  • Familiarity with ventilator management and respiratory care for complex patients is desired.
