ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE :
Provide project coordination, functional expertise, and contribute to improvements and enhancements for mission-critical, enterprise-wide information systems. The Systems Analyst is responsible for project tracking and control for assigned modules or systems, serving as a liaison between functional and technical resources to manage the development of new system functionality, upgrades, system modifications, and day-to-day problem analysis, issue tracking, and resolution.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE :
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in information technology, business / operations analysis or a related field, with 5 years of experience in related position.
Preferred candidates will have a combination of training and experience in information technology and business / operations analysis with QAD and other systems / applications.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :
- Work with staff of organizational units to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and understand specific requirements.
- Analyze current workflows to identify inefficiencies and propose system-driven solutions. Collaborate with departments to optimize systems utilization, reduce manual processes, and improve cross-functional visibility.
- Work with technical resources to develop, test, and document software in order to implement and maintain an operational system. Ensure data accuracy and consistency across ERP modules and related systems.
- Serve as project coordinator on enterprise-wide development projects, including development of the project plan, monitoring and reporting on project progress, and advising managers and stakeholders of potential project delays or resources required to complete the project on a timely basis.
- Coordinate and collaborate with functional users and IT staff to find solutions to problems identified in testing, resolve issues during systems upgrades, ensure that requirements documentation is easily translated into "user acceptance training", functional test plans, and ensure that proper testing of all systems functionality is completed.
- Study existing systems to identify problems and needs. Design solutions, workflow charts and diagrams. Troubleshoot ERP-related issues, ensure timely resolution, and coordinate with IT or ERP vendors when necessary.
- Design and develop effective reporting tools needed to support the business unit information decision-taking processes.
- Provide systems training, documentation, and functional support to end users. Support integration between ERP and other systems such as EDI, EAGLE and CMMS.
- Perform other information technology and business analysis duties as required to support assigned enterprise systems.
