Founding Full-Stack Engineer - AI Platform

Location : New York City (On-site, 5 days / week)

Compensation : $120,000 - $180,000 base + 1-2% equity

Work Authorization : Visa sponsorship considered for exceptional candidates

Type : Full-time

Start Date : Immediate

About the Role

An early-stage AI infrastructure company is seeking a Founding Full-Stack Engineer to build high-performance, scalable applications powering AI-native business discovery and transactions. You'll play a pivotal role in designing, shipping, and scaling core features used by brands and AI platforms alike-building both the product and the culture from the ground up.

This is a rare chance to own the entire product lifecycle in a zero-bureaucracy environment with direct access to customer feedback and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and launch full-stack web applications that drive business and product outcomes
  • Build polished, high-performance UIs using React and TypeScript
  • Design scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js
  • Contribute to early product decisions, technical roadmap, and system architecture
  • Work closely with founders, users, and customers to iterate rapidly

Who You Are

  • 1-4 years of engineering experience at a high-growth startup or as a founder
  • Comfortable across the stack and excited to wear many hats
  • Demonstrated history of building things : side projects, open source, hackathons, or teaching
  • Skilled in modern frontend and backend tools (React, TypeScript, Node.js)
  • Effective communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative setting
  • Bias toward action, attention to detail, and product intuition

  • Familiar with using AI-assisted coding tools like Cursor, Cody, or Copilot
  • Previously worked on internal tools, marketplaces, or infrastructure for AI / ML workflows
  • Passion for making AI more accessible and commercially impactful
