Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details

Location : Green Bay, Wisconsin (54301)

Healthcare Setting : Cardiac Stepdown / Cardiac Surgery Unit

Employment Type : Travel Nursing Assignment

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 27 / 2025 – End : 1 / 25 / 2026)

Shift : 8-hour day shifts with on-call requirements

Hours per Week : 40

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2,330 - $2,500

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN compact license (Registered Nurse)

BLS certification (Basic Life Support)

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiac stepdown or open heart nursing jobs

Proven experience with scrubbing and open heart procedures

Ability to provide requested time off (RTO) at time of submission

Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Green Bay, WI

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from cardiac surgery and cardiac procedures

Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition in a cardiac stepdown unit

Assist with scrubbing and provide clinical support during open heart procedures

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Educate patients and families on post-operative care and cardiac recovery

Maintain accurate documentation and uphold best practices in patient safety and clinical compliance
